Prince of Wales visits Hill Holt Wood

Prince Charles visited the environmental social enterprise scheme at Hill Holt Wood, Norton Disney on January 20th to meet staff and young people working on a number of projects including the rammed earth Eco building. The scheme which is set in 34 acres of woodland educates and trains youngsters that have been excluded from school, teaching them skills related to promoting and preserving the environment.

Hill Holt Wood abutts our own ancient woodland here at Hill Holt Farm.

The Prince toured the woodland scheme meeting local dignatories, staff and students of the Hill Holt Wood project and demonstated his arboricultural skills by planting a commerative oak tree to mark the visit.
